Its scary, you know. Being a woman.
I never thought I would live in a world where I have no say in my body and what I can do with it. Freedom? Do we even know what that is anymore? What happened to freedom of choice or speech? What happened America?
Is it because so many women now a days are becoming strong and empowering? That you have to take something away from us. To make us weak and cowardly. Is this even really about saving 'lives'? Or just about keeping women at the bottom of society?
Who do you think you are, thinking you can decide what happens to us and our bodies? Taking away something from us, that is really none of your business. Really none of anyone’s business, but our own.
We are living in a world where there are shooting’s just about monthly. Children are dying. CHILDREN. They are being shot to death. Children that are actually out of the womb, moving, breathing, talking, TRULY LIVING. But your concern, is a fetus. That yes, may have a heartbeat, but is truly not even apart of this world. You can take that as me being ignorant, but get real. There are way bigger problems in this world right now. Telling women what they can and cannot do with their bodies, should not be one of them.
What about rapes that happen daily? Rapists get away with a slap on the hand. But a woman decides she’s not ready for a baby? Or decides she does not want to bring another human life into this godawful world (wouldn’t blame her) and she gets sent to jail? Are you seriously thinking about how this all sounds? What about that 12-year-old girl, who was raped. But was too scared to tell anyone. And before you know it, she is past your “6 week” time frame. You think that’s OKAY? To use this little girl’s body, to bring a rapist’s baby into this world? Into this world that already has TOO much wrong with it? A world that already has thousands of babies that need homes. Or a world where there already are babies in homes, of those that didn’t even want them or can take care of them.
What about people like myself? People who have complications with their lady parts. People who risk their lives getting pregnant. People who may experience multiple miscarriages. Not because they want to, but because their body just does not function properly. Are you going to punish us? Are you seriously going to start a case to see why our miscarriages happened? That is what you are going to waist money and time on? You all need to get your priorities straightened out. Because that should be the LEAST of your concerns.
What about men? They don’t get punished? I do assume you all know how babies are made? Correct? At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if you actually didn’t understand that. But it does take two to tango. So, shouldn’t men get a vasectomy, until they are ready to bring a child into this world? Oh, I’m sorry men. You don’t want to be told what to do with your body and private parts? Huh.
I understand abortion isn’t for everyone. Personally, I don’t think it is something I would go through with myself. Unless it was a medical emergency. But that’s not the point. Women should be able to make that decision, without consequences. This should not even be an argument or a restriction. This should not be what America is focusing on. It’s disgusting and disappointing.
And to be honest, as someone who suffers with endometriosis and is at high risk for miscarriages (and also lives here in Georgia), I am almost petrified now to even think about ever trying for a baby.
You are taking away our freedom. You are actually taking away our lives. You are aborting us. So, shouldn’t you all go to jail? Think about that.
